"Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas" was released in theaters (!) three weeks ago, and is now at the top of the list of IMDB's worst movies, and rates a big goose-egg at RottenTomatoes. Cameron's own FaceBook begging nudged it up to 6% until the broader Internet caught wind of the up-tick and squished it back down to zero again.
Surprisingly, the movie isn't about trying to convert non-Christians, it's about justifying Christmas excesses to other Christians who might have doubts about the holiday due to its pagan origins or its embrace of Mammon. But along with the bad acting, the bad directing and bad cinematography, the theological rationalizations are simple horrible, ignoring both history and the Bible.
According to the most balanced reviews I've read (which actually found something good to say), the central message of the movie seems to be that the crass commercial materialism of Christmas is actually better than giving money to the poor, food to the hungry or shelter to the homeless. I guess that's what happens when a rich white dude tries to justify selfishness to other rich white dudes.

Hi, it is actually my first time to hear about "Winter's Tale". I just read that it is all about a story of miracles, fantasy and supernaturals. About some reviews, I noticed that were negative one and mostly were not satisfied with the film. I'm indeed curious what makes it worst movie ever. Well, I just researched about the movie online here: http://www.winterstalemovie.com I really want to know. |

Are we talking about two different movies? Are "Saving Christmas" and "A Christmas Tale" even the same movie? |

actually there is a movie with Nicholas Cage where he is left on Earth after the rapture. DOn't remember the name, but that's also equally bad.
I kind of feel sorry for Nicholas Cage. He is bankrupt, after buying stuff like an abandoned castle, so he needs to make stupid movies to make ends meet. Hence the crappy movies he is sometimes given. |

There is not a worst movie, but a worse movie. People's views on movie depend on the quality of them.

How can you even compare that to Saving Christmas? Mind boggled.
Just my take but I would watch 'The Cell' 100x before watching all of 'Saving Christmas' even once. |
I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.

I don't know if it's just me but I didn't quite understand why Birdman starring Keaton was a hit. |

I don't think I've seen it. Or maybe I have but I just can't remember it. I'll have to look it up and watch it again. Maybe it's so bad I erased it from my memory. |
