Wouldn't that be awesome?
My understanding of astrobiology is that if the conditions are close enough, and large-scale enough, life is pretty much inevitable.

| I only scanned the article, but the impression I got from the figures and the text I did read was "this thing we don't know the source of looks like this other thing for which we know how it was made," which is pretty much the logic behind the Face and pyramids of Mars. |

| Well, the difference is that the scientists are saying, "here's how we can test this idea," while the cranks say, "it looks like a face, therefore it is a face." I expect much of the mainstream press will take the latter angle, regardless how much the scientists insist on uncertainty. |
