Mars has water and Carter has pills! That was my third place guess if I had bothered to post it. My second place guess, while less likely, was they found evidence of past life. A fossil of some microbe or sorts. My first place guess was the face on mars was identified as being Henry Kissinger. OK people! back to earning next months rent or mortgage payments and the baby needs a new pair of shoes.
Didn't we already know this, that mars has water? Does no one remember the ice that was uncovered by digging into the soil and where it evaporated days latter? I do! When they find rum on Mars, I'm signing up for the one way flight but not before. |

SS: Didn't we already know this, that mars has water? |
Yes. But this is liquid water that runs on the surface now and then. That means a better chance of finding microbes, along with helping to understand some more of Mars geology and stuff like that. It's not the biggest news in the world, but it's very significant. For some years now the prevailing thought was that the water on Mars was all pretty much frozen. Not anymore. |
Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
