I am confused as to the difference between corrective and preventive action. Can anyone here help me understand what is corrective and preventive action? How do you document and control corrective and preventive actions?

Based on what I have read and understood, these corrective and preventive actions are both methods done to improve a company's system and standards in order to eliminate undesirable risks. However, I'm not knowledgeable about the exact process of doing it.

Corrective: ctions taken in response to a problem.

Preventive: Actions taken to prevent a problem from occurring.

The foundation of morality is to . . . give up pretending to believe that for which there is no evidence, and repeating unintelligible propositions about things beyond the possibliities of knowledge.
