Evolution News and Views is the flagship Intelligent Design blog. And they've posted their "top ten stories of 2016," which (one might guess) would be all about the successes of ID in the past year. One would be wrong.
While Larry Moran did a good job of summarizing their posts, I'm going to summarize further:#10: A mainstream scientist said something that might be ID-friendly
#9: This fossil is ambiguous
#8: No new information, so it's not evolution
#7: How could it have evolved?!
#6: Selection doesn't make anything evolve by itself
#5: Censorship!
#4: A popular-press book is popular
#3: Teach both sides!
#2: Evolution can't happen
#1: Evolutionary biologists don't all agree with each other Not a single news item that actually demonstrates any scientific design hypothesis. 60% of the list is attacks on evolutionary straw men, and the rest is completely irrelevant to whether ID is true.
If that is the best that ID has to offer, then it truly is, as Moran says, bankrupt.

Here's more from Laurence Moran, today:
Intelligent Design Creationists reveal their top story of 2016
Which he sums up this way: Their top story is a report on controversy among evolutionary biologists. That could have been their top story every year since ID was founded because that's what science is all about. It's about challenging existing views and healthy debate. |
And darned if Moran isn't a facebook friend of mine. He posted the above link on his timeline.

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.
