Hi all,
Just wanted to know whether is it a crime to spank your child. My sister most of the time spanks her child. Whenever she is in some stressful situation she used to spank her children. I don't know whether it is right to do this. So I just researched more about it and found this blog http://www.torontodefencelawyers.com/blog/is-it-a-crime-to/crime-spank-child/ . But I need to know more about it. Whether it is crime or not?

| I 'm against rough behaviour with children. I'm a mother and I love my son more than anyone in the world! But I can't say it's a crime to spank a little, it really depends on child's character. |

Step one is to be a little more specific about where you live.
In Sweden, it is against the law.
In Saudi Arabia, my prejudice tells me it's mandatory, considering what other barbaric notions of right and wrong is being practised.
Your link to a Toronto site kind of implies that either you or your sister lives in Canada, but how would we know unless you explicitly tell us?
