I'm so saddened to announce the passing of Art Canfil who was of course HalfMooner to us here at SFN. He had a stroke which he didn't wake up from, and died yesterday. His humor, his art and his skeptical spirit will not be forgotten anytime soon.

I'm sad. I enjoyed his digital editing creations and sense of humor.

This hit me hard when I read it. I'm still kind of stunned.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Sad deal. HalfMooner had a lot of good input here. Enjoyed his Photoshop work too.

"We are all connected; to each other biologically, to the earth chemically, to the rest of the universe atomically."

Sad news. I obviously didn't know him at all outside of the board setting, but he always seemed like a good guy.
