Legend? Sure. Prince? Not so much. While he was a good skeptic when it came to things he cared about, when he didn't he wasn't. For example, despite there being 30+ years of evidence in favor of global anthropogenic climate change, Randi said "I'm not sure." It wasn't something he could personally test, so he like, "meh, whatever."
And the JREF is a husk of its former self. Randi didn't give a hoot about whether it continued its mission after he retired, so it really hasn't. In September, 2015, the foundation announced that they'd be making several grants a year. Then they announced one grant in January of 2018, and another in November of 2019. But they still have educational material available! [rollseyes] |
