According to The Panda's Thumb, Bill Dembski is moving from Baylor to the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, and once again verifying - not that we didn't know this already - that Intelligent Design is all about Christian creationism.

quote: Boy, you people are quick. I thought it might still be another day or two before you caught on to this. In any case, I want to thank you for all your concerns, solicitations, and well-wishes on my new job. I expect I will be providing even more grist for your mill from my new location than from the old.
Keep up the good work, Bill Dembski
I'm sorry, pal, but I can't wish you good luck in your mission to babble even more nonsense to impressible minds.

Pandas do indeed have thumbs of sorts. It's a modified wrist bone that the animal uses as a thumb. Evolution is wonderful, but a little weird.
Where Dembski spews his blather matters little. It's all the same, old crap. Also, he makes second-rate barbeque.

Also an excellent book by S J Gould and where I found the Hoarce quote in my signature |
"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History
"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini |

I'm still irritated that Barnes&Noble puts Dembski's books (along with Behe's) on the SCIENCE shelf in their store. I complain to some hapless employee about it every now and then..... which is a futile (but amusing) excercise.
