Could have been worse. They could have named the passenger.
At least the Aussies didn't detonate it.

Is Australia really a target for a terrorist? I mean, I know that they really could attack anywhere at anytime, but just think about a group of terrorists around a camp fire:
"Hmm, where should we attack next? Who haven't we gotten in a really long time? I know! Australia!"
Sure, they'll also say, "By Allah, we need to kill the Infidel Hogan who brings mirth and bemusement".
"(mimicing Hogan) That's not a knife, (unsheathing Kopish sword) this, by Allah, is a knife".

We just had our elections down here on the weekend and the conservatives won using the old "Trust us, the other party can't control the terrorist threat" trick. Well that and a great intrest rate scare as well.
What is it with conservatives and negative campaigning???
We did lose 88 people in Bali which is a favorite destination of Aussie tourists and out embassy was bombed in Jakarta a few weeks ago. Since our little adventure with Georgie boy in Iraq we have been mentioned by Al Quieda (told to the public with much fanfare and almost pride(?) by the media).
But as I say to my friends, more people die in road accidents that are killed by terrorists. The chances of something happening down here are bugger all. Yes there is a minute chance, but I am not going to change the way I live my life. Once you do that, the terrorists have already won.
Who would waste their time with us anyway. Half our country would be too drunk to realize, the other half too busy sitting on their arses watching football or cricket.

Mistakes are a part of being human. Appreciate your mistakes for what they are: precious life lessons that can only be learned the hard way. Unless it's a fatal mistake, which, at least, others can learn from.
