The protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas -- more or less all relevatives of anti-gay activist Fred Phelps -- attacked Rehnquist while celebrating hurricane Katrina, which they believe purged New Orleans of unsavory homosexual elements. Similar charges resounded among more right-wing Christian groups, who noted that the gay pride festival Southern Decadence was scheduled right around the time the hurricane hit.
The signs are captured below. Rehnquist earned "JUDGE IN HELL" for leading his court in overturning sodomy laws.
Other signs blared: "GOD HATES YOU," "GOD IS AMERICA'S TERRORIST," "GOD HATES FAGS," "AMERICA IS DOOMED," "KISS THE SON, BUSH," "DONT WORSHIP THE DEAD," "USA = FAG NATION."
The 'ONE WAY' street sign seems to fit right in.... Too bad the old peckerwood and his fruitcake followers can't be locked up for creating a public nuisance.

These people better hope that there is no Judeo-Christian God. It seems to me that in that version of God, God takes a dim view of people passing judgment on other people in Gods name…
