I just joined here, and fully expected to see a smorgasbord of 9/11 topics posted up. But there were none.... hmmm.

So, I don't know if I can assume that most here are completely uninitiated to the 9/11 Truth Movement, or if the subject has been rendered taboo for some reason.

Any comments would be welcomed.

Taking other people's signatures and switching a few words around to make it opposite in meaning doesn't make you particularly clever. Although I admit I've done it myself, and it did make me FEEL more clever. : )

Welcome to the SFN site!

I'm no initiate. What's the "9/11 Truth Movement"? (BTW, nice nick!)

Welcome Rumpl4skn.

After a little googling, I found this site that seams to be the center of it all: http://www.911truth.org/index.php?topic=about.

It looks like they don't trust the offical story of the towers collaps, calling for an open investigation.

If you are referring to the idiotic conspiracy nonsense and the raving lunatics who believe that the events of 9/11 are something other than terrorist attacks...

We have had a few threads along those lines.

But Dude.... how do you really feel about it?

Well, then I guess you can include me in that group of lunatics.

For those of you who have NOT decided to ignore contrary evidence simply because the government told you to... I'd start here:

The 911thruth.org site seems, at least to my first glance, to have a sane approach to questioning aspects of the 911 tragedies, unlike some of the more bizarre 911 conspiracy theorists that are about. They seem instead to be legitimately questioning published CIA and other comments about what US intelligence knew, and when they knew it, concerning the hijackers, and asking questions about the possible involvement of the Pakistani ISI intelligence agency.

Very good subject matter! I may not have an opportunity to delve deeper for a while, and would appreciate anyone else's reports and comments.

We are familiar with all sorts of people who ignore tons of evidence in favor of one unclear photo or quote which is not backed up. Which of course includes 99% of the 911 theorists.

It is obvious that the US Gov hides certain things to save face, like reports of pilots training which were not handled properly, this however does not prove squat.

Please instead of beating around the bush, just give us ten or so sentences on what exactly didnt happen "the way they said it was" and also the "what you think was" then we can go over any evidence one peice at a time, to prevent confusion on any part.

We've had lots and lots of 911 discussion here. In fact, there was almost no other discussion for quite a while. Check the archives.

This is also a good place for the uninitiated to start: www.911weknow.com

But the video link I sent is required veiwing for anyone who has half a desire to look at this seriously.

Hmmm. Are older posts eventually deleted?

We had someone here a while ago who was really, let's say passionate about 9-11 conspiracy theories. So passionate that he was banned. I don't remember his original name, but he returned a couple times, first as pheonix or something. Is that conversaion still posted or is it gone? I ask because I remember that he posted a few movies and I watched one and did a critique of it, but now I don't even remember the name of the jornalist/conspiracy theorist who did the movie. Anyone know?

It was five years ago after all... any chance you could post your beliefs on the topic as I stated above or are we just going to be reading links?

Sounds like a good starting place to me, too.

BTW, being a relative newby, I was unfamiliar with the earlier 911 discussions here.

And for those who disbelieve physics should start here.

I'm not beating around any Bushes here. I'm trying to judge the overall demeanor towards the issue, which I must admit, with a few of you already seems to lie somewhere between "hostile" and "honey, get my gun."

Here are 15 points: http://www.911truth.org/article.php?story=20041221155307646

If you guys are completely into denial about government evil, then perhaps I'll just slink out of here and let you discuss whatever you feel are the real issues to be skeptical about. Whatever those may be.
