Not a lot of people know about this anti-Masonry side of Nazism, but it was one of Nazism's major features. Masons were dispossesed, persecuted and murdered by the Nazis, along with Jews, Social Democrats, Communists, homosexuals, Gypsies, and Jehovah's Witnesses.

I know an old Nazi myself, a former Hitler Youth member, who seethed and sputtered to me when he hatefully talked of the "evils" of the Masons. The Nazi mythology about the Masons is an even crazier paranoid conspiracy theory than that in The Da Vinci Code's premise, and the Catholic Church's alternative story.
