The dumbest blogger on Earth has to be some guy named Pete, who ranted in response to an Onion article about abortion. Hundreds of people pointed out what a doofus he was, but he still didn't get it. Then rather than admit he was wrong, he continues to keep digging that hole.

Unfortunately, the comments from the original post are, as of today, no longer accessible. They were, for the most part, hilarious.

The foundation of morality is to . . . give up pretending to believe that for which there is no evidence, and repeating unintelligible propositions about things beyond the possibliities of knowledge.

If I were the author of that clever Onion piece, I would be delirious with joy at the way it pressed this incredibly stupid "pro-life" blogger's buttons. Talk about knee-jerk reactions! What a farce this guy made of himself and his "pro-life" movement. If you are going to attack someone's statements, it behooves one to check to see if the person you are attacking is fictional.

Christ, that's funny!! She's an idiot-- too wrapped up in her pet cause that she can't see what the onion's obviously fake articles are about.

Perhaps she'd be happier to read this from the Onion...

Amazing. It's like a lot of the hate mail the satire site of Landover Baptist Church gets from fundies that just don't get it.

Just remember, that blogger is allowed to vote!

How sad is it when you are incapable of recognizing fiction when the fiction tells you it is fiction, and hundreds of people tell you it is fiction?

I'd laugh, but it would be wrong to laugh at a person who is incapable of distinguishing reality from fantasy.

Unless, of course, the person is just messing with people. I looked the blog/s over for signs of it, and didn't find the usual inicators of a spoof... hehe.

But who knows. It is hard to believe anyone is that... stupid.

Can you say, "Landover Baptist"? Think he'd agree with them?

Perhaps a dictionary for the young man to look up the word satire?

Shall we send him next Jonathan Swift's classic satirical essay of 1729 "A Modest Proposal" – in which Swift basically says land owners can solve the problem of poverty by simply eating the children of the poor?

Eh, as rants go, I'll score Pete at a six out of ten -- passing, but must do better!

He reminds me a bit of Kent Hovind, although "Dr. Dino" shows a much more nimble and creative imagination. Of course, he also tackles a vastly more complicated subject than our Pete, who merely, at least in this writing, opposes the rights of some half of the population of having the ownership of their bodies. Thus, Pete should have been able to fine-tune his work to a truly scathing commentary that would flay, flense, and suck the very marrow from the bone of any and all things connected with abortion. Instead, he gives us the same, tired talking points we can find most anywhere he and his leaders/followers congregate.

And then he has the temerity to serve up a story about some sunbathing chick that Hovind himself might have written. Change the situation, and you have Kent's Professor yarn, all but verbatim.

Perhaps I should knock off another point or two for plagiarism, but I'm feeling generous this morning.

Like before fertilization?

Could it be that the primary provider of failed pregnancies is God? After all isn't it something like 50+ percent of the fertilized eggs fail to implant in the uterine wall. Providence seems the more likely killer for those who believe that life begins at conception, when conception is described as just fertilization.
