What I find remarkably funny about this is the fact that Bill and his ilk don't even realize they are being manipulated.

He, and the thousands of assclowns like him who are "debating" global warming on the internet all have the same talking points, the same references, the same speil. I wonder why....

They jump at the opportunity to poo-poo evolution, global warming, flag burning, anti-war protestors, anything that even hints at socialism (like European healthcare, despite the tremendous success of European healthcare), and they are always ready to defend shit like the Iraq war, ID, global corporatism, insane energy policies, and environmentalism.

Most skeptic and atheist forums I visit have atleast a few of these mental gaints trolling through and shitting on the floor, spouting back Coultergeist quotes and trying deperately to convince anyone who will listen that science is wrong, evolution is a lie, global warming is a liberal conspiracy, and G.W. Bush is the messiah.

It is impossible to have a reasonable conversation with them, say nothing of a legitimate debate.

As usual, Bill Scott is..... full of it!

90% huh. And did they come to a 100% consensus on that 90%? Or was it 75% for 90% and 15% for 80% while 70% came in last with 10%? Or was it just an up and down vote on the 90%?

That all depends on what you think Newsweek is the only "platform" for.

So much do they loath these urbanite queens that they would burn an entire car lot of SUV's to the ground to keep them from the hands of the elitist suburbia GW denier. Who cares? I am more interested in the polling method used to derive this 90% chance of MMGW figure that you speak of.

So we must conclude that scientific results and scientific facts are not the end all be all of truth. Why? Because we see many times where they have been completely wrong so how could they be the end all be all.

On your last leg, huh. Doesn't even look like your good leg. Oh well, the bright side is your all held up by the false claims of the Bush fantasy. Oh no, even he is giving in to reality. Was that a wobble? Hey, you still got Exxon Mobile. They made alot of money this last year, you in on that stock? I seriously saw a wobble that time. Ok, well I am going to leave now, and I have faith that you can stand through this Bill, even without a leg to stand on.

So basically you want to ignore the scientific consensus because there is a group that would want to ban SUV's? What kind of messed up reasoning is that?

Are you seriously that slow? No one blames GW on soccer moms! GW is a problem that everyone can work to fix, however. The main issue at hand is emissions from large polluters in the corporate sector. The thing about capitalism (that thing you asserted earlier was so great) is that it moves on the demands of the consumer, so the solution is in the private sector.

You still have yet to produce any semblance of an argument, Bill. Science could be wrong. Everything could be ok. And fairies can get their wings if you only believe. Sorry, it just ain't happening.

*Bizarro world ahead turn back*

What if Bill were right? Nothing. We still have highly inefficient gas guzzling vehicles and still are under the mercy of oil pushers. Why do we not want cleaner energy sources? Why do we not want better gas milage? Why do we not want less CO2? Why do we not want more polar bears? Why do we not want cleaner air to breathe?

Bill can't answer these questions because Bill is a talking head.

Facts! Pssh, you can prove anything even remotely true with facts.

I despise EM for many reason. However, that by default does not mean that Dodge Durango's, on the way to the kid's baseball practice, are the cause of MMGW. Shoot, I think Microsoft is sleazy money grubbing company. However, that does not mean I can pin the responsibility for MMGW on Windows.

Yes, but for all we know they could be wrong on their self correction. They could be trumping miss-information with miss-information. Once again demonstrating that man's science is not the end all be all of truth. It's been wrong on so many different occasions how could it be?

Your right, Bill. I highly suggest you go crawl under a rock. Don't want to be fooled by the mis-information.

Edited with better response:

Yes, Bill only a brave few can actually go out and do research on their own. Only us tireless souls can get our arse off the couch and get a library card. Low to we brave souls for our journey is yet long ahead, perilously searching for convincing arguments, data, and actual thoughts. We must think our way out of that paper sack, rather than call it home like so many of our brethren. Must we so work our bones? Can we not take a rest from such toil? No, for to do so would be... intellectual suicide. Stay back, Bill, the road is too difficult for the weak minded. It is best you simply let others do the work for you and merely stand back, clear of dangerous mis-information or yet worse mis-mis-information, aside: I don't think I'll even hint at the mis-mis-mis-information. Shuddering No Bill ahead is too much collating and organizing of facts. You take a rest here on under this rock, and await news from the brave scouts who will take on the arduous task of, thinking. cue scary music.
