quote: What you don't seem to get is that approval or disapproval of Bush is a completely separate issue from the intentions of Ahmadinejad and the Mullahs of Iran. Just because Bush is an idiot doesn't mean that Ahmadinejad doesn't really intend harm for Israel.
There is really no other issue, other than the criminal behavior of the U.S. and Israel. Iran is not an issue for us to worry about. We need to deal with the criminals that we can deal with. Those of us that are U.S. citizens, or even citizens of Western countries with some amount of democracy can petition our governments to do what they can to stop these criminals. Mullahs are immaterial right now. They pose no threat to anyone but their own citizens, and that's thanks in part to the U.S. support of people like the Shah, and the overthrow of people like Mossadegh.
You want to build democracy? Let's start with the U.S. |

Wow. Just wow.
With this statement you seem to be declaring disinterest in any of the factual matters we were discussing. Please correct me if my interpretation is wrong, but you seem to be declaring the factual issues of whether Ahmadinejad was threatening Israel or their building nuclear weapons immaterial, and that the only valid topic of concern or criticism is the United States or Israel.
I certainly hope you can show me where my interpretation is wrong.

Iran certainly has the capacity to do lots of harm, just like any other country. We can certainly hope that this is not their plan, but their recent actions with British sailors don't bode well.
