Fox News was planning to host a debate between Democratic presidential candidates. But now the Demos say no, thanks.

Roger Ailes, Fox Chairman and CEO (and long-time GOP hack) on Thursday night said in a speech to radio and TV news directors:
quote:
"It's true that Barack Obama is on the move," Ailes said, deliberately confusing the Illinois senator's name with that of terrorist leader Osama bin Laden. "I don't know if it's true President Bush called [Pakistan President Pervez] Musharraf and said, 'Why can't we catch this guy?' "
The Democrats, for some odd reason, seem to think these statements show Fox is not "fair and balanced." They cancelled the debate.

Fox, to prove its fairness and balance once and for all, shot back:
quote:
Fox News Vice President David Rhodes responded to the debate cancellation with a written statement saying MoveOn.org owns the Democratic Party.
Fox and its minions, for their part, are owned by right-wing billionaire Rupert Murdoch and his News Corporation. Murdoch himself is owned by Satan.

What are you looking at? Haven't you ever seen a pink shirt before?

Good! Excellent, indeed! I hope Fox whines and bitches, and cries the crotch-kicked blues all the way to Nov. '08. I think that they will marginilize themselves -- to those of their audience who actually think, that is.

Oh my stars and garters! If that happens, they might actually have to hire some journalists! And editors! And fact-checkers, and I don't know what-all!

Nah. It ain't gonna happen. Ailes and the rest are too scumbaggish to do it right. Fuck Fox News(?) and all of it's works....

Unfortunatly, he's not qualified. He has not yet achieved death and this is a nescessary requirement. Dead man, he don't hire no lawyers.

I suppose some generous soul could help him along..... we'd better not go there.

I can easily think of more deserving people... but I agree we'd better not go there.
