According to one website affiliated with the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, the 200 albums that every music lover should own
Some WTFs though. Michael Jackson at #4? And Jimi Hendrix no higher than #41? Steely Dan makes the list once, at #191, while Eminem is on the list at least twice!! And why in Thor's name is anything by Whitney Houston on the list?
Have at it!

I hate these kind of lists - and I agree some (maybe most) "albums" on this list should be lined up against a wall and shot.
However, I am glad that my favorite album came in at 123. They deserve some recognition. |

Kenny f-ing G (#107) is rated higher than Radiohead's Ok, Computer (#111).
This list isn't fit to line a birdcage.

Interesting stuff. The contrast between this list and Rolling Stone's top 500 greatest albums of all time is considerable. For instance, in the Hall of Fame list, Zeppelin appears at 4 (Untitled), 45 (Led Zeppelin II), 51 (Houses of the Holy), 93 (Physical Grafitti) and 165 (Led Zeppelin I). Not bad, but I think Rolling Stone had it better with Led Zeppelin I at 29, untitled at 66, Physical Grafitti at 70, Led Zeppelin II at 75 and Houses of the Holy at 149. Moreover, Jackson's Thriller comes in a 20 and Hendrix's Are You Experienced? at 15. And while I didn't do a full search through all of Rolling Stone's list, I bet there's no Whitney Houston on it... |

Shania Twain in top 25??? Ok, this is obviously someone's sick joke.
I mean, it's not like hate Twain or something, but surley there are at least 25 albums more important than that. |
