I made no such comparison.

And Kil said that Kent State and 9/11 are not comparable, so I guess he didn't make the comparison you accused him of making, either.

Making a comparison does not mean saying they are comparable. He compared them and concluded they were not comparable but he made a comparison. Do you see?

Why did he mention 911 in this thread? I didnt.

Beats me, just like I'm completely confused as to why you'd mention Rodney King.

Because Rodney King was another example of police abusing their powers and getting away with it.

Regarding Kent State, marfknox's posts sum up the problems with jumping to conclusions quite eloquently IMO. I personally think Kent State was a spontaneous incident and I'm not willing to make the jump that the word "point," if it did actually come from the guardsmen, means "fire" at any rate. I'd like to add that if there ever was an order from "higher-up" to start playing hardball with Vietnam anti-war protesters back then we'd have seen the tragedy of Kent State replayed over and over again.

No its not. I didnt compare the two events. I stated that they are part of the same thing.

What "same thing" are they a part of, considering Kent State involved National Guardsmen and Rodney King involved Los Angeles city police?

And how could you begin to classify them as "the same thing" unless they are comparable?

Do you even care about making sense or do you just have to be a contrarian on everything, regardless of how foolish it makes you look?

So you examined two events, and found them both to be examples of the same thing. As opposed to different things. How is that not a comparison?

Indeed they do.

Now back to original question that you misdirected us from. Why bring up 911 in this thread?
