Well, we finally got around to fixing this old problem from our end. The solution involved a new style of quoting, which we - the staff - seem to like a lot (in general). Here it is:This is our new quote box.
If you don't see a blue box with a darker blue outine, you'll need to click "refresh" or "reload" on your browser. |
You'll see something more like the below, normally:Originally posted by Dave W.

And just to demonstrate that the problem is solved:And this text won't be the teeny-tiny stuff that people were complaining about in the linked-to thread.
If you never saw that problem, you still get the benefits of a nifty new quote box! And now folks like beskeptigal won't have to do the extra work of explicitly setting the text back to its larger size after a quote.

Me, too. Even though in previous (secret) tries, Dave it did work. Using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070309 Firefox/2.0.0.3
ETA: But Kil's text is black, and mine blue. Odd. |

I see the boxes themselves just fine. I am usng the latest version of Firefox. However, as I preview this reply, the texts of both Kil's replied-to post and my reply are in same box. His text is black, and indented, mine is dark blue, unindented.
Once everyone can see it correctly, I think it'll be a vast improvement. Thanks for trying!
Edit: The box worked right once I posted, though the preview was as I described above.
