Dave---"That's why I no longer expect answers to my questions from you."
You asked at 05/15/2007 : 20:56:00 "Why would it have done a 180?"
I answered at 05/15/2007 : 21:08:02.
Thats 722 seconds.
Please stop accusing me of things I am not doing; and the name calling Dave, come on.

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell |

Maybe you could provide proof of a positive. | "Human beings are having zero effect on global warming" is an absolutely supportable and testable assertion of fact. An analogous argument would be "my wife is having zero effect on my bank balance," and to prove the assertion correct, all I would have to do is show that my wife's income equals her spending. Similarly, it is now up to j911ob to show that everything that humans do that warms the Earth is precisely (he said "zero") balanced either by some natural process or by other human activities which cool the Earth.
This isn't some "universal negative" that can't be proven, like "God does not exist." Instead, j911ob is claiming that the net amount of increased heat in the Earth's atmosphere attributable to human activies is zero degrees. He isn't asserting the absence of something, he's asserting a measurement of zero.
Or would you claim that "prove that the distance between this pencil and this pen is zero inches" to be a challenge to prove a negative? |

You choose to answer the unimportant questions, and refuse to answer the important ones (like why were CO2 levels so high 400 million years ago?). And the insults, JEROME: when are you going to apologize for them? |
