They sure like hating people, even the ones almost as ass-backwards as they are.

"...things I have neither seen nor experienced nor heard tell of from anybody else; things, what is more, that do not in fact exist and could not ever exist at all. So my readers must not believe a word I say." -Lucian on his book True History

"...They accept such things on faith alone, without any evidence. So if a fraudulent and cunning person who knows how to take advantage of a situation comes among them, he can make himself rich in a short time." -Lucian critical of early Christians c.166 AD From his book, De Morte Peregrini

From the article:
Last month, the group released a music video entitled "God Hates the World." Sung to the tune of "We Are the World," the song changes the chorus to: "God hates the world and all her people, you, every one, face a fiery day for your proud sinning. It's too late to change His mind, you lived out your vain lives, storing up God's wrath for all eternity."
Fantastic! According to Phelps, there's no reason to not be hedonistic, every moment of every day. If "it's too late to change His mind," then my fate is sealed no matter how well-behaved I might become. What's God going to do, torment me for eternity worse than tormenting me for eternity?

So thank you, Phelps clan, for giving me a free pass to sin. I think I'll shoot a baby full of smack and eat it on my way to burn down a church. Wooot!

Shouldn't this be in the Moonscape News? It's certainly surreal enough.

Just think, bigoted scumbag hate-mongers hating the bigoted scumbag hate monger. This is one of Phelps' insane, little shindigs that I can almost support.

Actually, I think Phelps & menagerie are just jealous, and pissed-off, because they haven't ever managed to steal as much as Falwell, and he would never share. So, they must denounce the master whilst within the darkest corner of their pus-pumping, little hearts, they venerate him.

Just when you think the crazies can't get any crazier... The Phelps clan comes along to prove you wrong.

For some reason I am always shocked by the abject stupidity of these people.

Wow, that is some twisted thought processes going on there. But they can carry a tune. I wonder if Geldolf can sue?

Oh, yeah!!!!!

Thanks, Fred. Even though I'm not a Christian, might as well whoop it up and get some worldly vice.

Wonder if a skeptic chick would give me a tumble. But not the ones I'm old enough to have fathered. That would be creepy.

V_D, I could live with "creepy," if they could.

As for the hating, Phred's intensity is just amazing, isn't it? He's got an impersonation of the Old Testament Yaweh down pat.

I hate ol' Phred, but I bet he hates me even more, even though he doesn't have a clue I exist. So, I figure my hatred for him is just a piss-ant, minor failing on my part, relatively speaking. There must be some quantity of hatred that tips the emotion clearly into the realm of psychosis, if so, Phred has exceeded that.

Thanks for the sig-quote, BPS!

Edited to add that I'd better immortalize it before BPS finds a shinier one:

Im always down for a wholsome phelps-family friendly quote!

Edited to add, with regard to my second quote, Is this the quote you wish to be immortalized with?
