Dude wrote: When a person places more value on a country's symbols than on the things those symbols represent, they are stepping into an ultra-nationalist mindset. Ultra-nationalism is unethical. | The value he places on the symbol is exhibited by a feeling of anger. The value he places on what the symbol represents is exhibited in his stance that people shouldn't be punished for flag burning. So how do you figure he places more importance on the symbol than on what it represents? And if he doesn't value the symbol over what it represents, then no ultra-nationalism sentiment has been revealed. |
