Was it a carry over joke from the other thread in which I referred to a camels nose? Sorry.
What do you think of my analysis of possible usage of this executive order?

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell |

For all other cases in which the government can freeze assets, what is required before they can do so, and what legal recourse do the affected entities have? |

I believe that prior to this order, the state would need a court to order the freezing of assets necessitating the presentation of probable cause. This order allows the freezing of assets on the authority of the executive branch in anticipation of the possibility of the commission of a crime that could disrupt an overseas endeavor by the government. How many constitutional laws does this order ignore?
