I thought I would check on whatever happed to Kent Hovind. I don't have much to report for my efforts, aside from noticing that he's been moved a lot, and wondering why.
Over time, Hovind has been variously segregated from the inmate population, put in solitary, and placed in prisons designed for more serious offenders than the jail he started in. Could it be he's not a model prisoner? Has he gone stir crazy, or was he always that way? Are Darwinist prisoners out to kill him?
It all makes one wonder what kind of antics Hovid's been up to. The Feds are probably being too nice to tell us the tale, while his supporters' reports should be taken with a grain of salt, like everything else they say.
Hovind's now at Federal Correctional Institution, Edgefield, in South Carolina, near the Georgia state line.
This, from from Wiki is about his imprisonment: After the conviction Hovind was incarcerated in the Escambia County Jail as a "danger to the community" and flight risk.[116] After being sentenced, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, in January 2007 Hovind was originally incarcerated at the Federal Prison Camp, Pensacola (minimum security) at Saufley Field, Pensacola, Florida, but was moved to the Federal Correctional Institution, Marianna (medium security) at Marianna, Florida.[3] In May 2007 he was moved and placed in solitary confinement, according to Paul Abramson (a Hovind supporter/operator of Hovind's blog), because Hovind did not comply with the chaplain's orders/prison policy.[117] He was then listed as being an "administrative security level" inmate at Federal Correctional Institution, Tallahassee in Tallahassee, Florida, the United States Penitentiary (USP) in Atlanta, Georgia until being placed at his current location, FCI Edgefield in South Carolina.[3] |

From the wikipedia article
One conversation with Eric Hovind, Kent Hovind's son, showed the two plotted to hide a motor vehicle title and property deeds to prevent the government from collecting the property to pay for owed debt. | Matt 5:39-40

| Ah, I see: 5:39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
5:40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. | But a coat's just a coat, while a car is a ride. Betcha Jesus woulda been pissed if someone took his wheels.

The chances are that someone like Hovind would have ended up doing his time in Club Fed rather than the various slams he's been and is currently in. This tells us that he is not going to get much time off for good behavior.
Hovind has a inglorius history of arrogance and ill temper, and that's probably why he's not getting to do it the easy way, as did Jim Bakker. I recall the way he treated his tenants some years back; bullying and even threatening them.
Heh, he'll likely be joining the Aryan Brotherhood next....

| Jim Bakker was a liar and a con-man. But not necessarily a fool. Hovind is a fool. And you don't stop being a fool in lockup I guess... |
