As if FL wasn't screwed up enough already. Now it seems that many of the nation's the top hate-mongers will hold a shindig with a full agenda of demagoguery & gay-bashing & other fun, conservative theological activities. | Oh boy, you folks down there in the Sunshine state better be prepared for the fundie invasion ahead. The best and brightest of the professional right-wing fundamentalist fearmongerer set are coming to "inform and empower involved Christian citizenship," according to its web site. |
The part that I find amusing is that they don't even trust each other not to watch porn in their hotel rooms. | You can watch the promotional video here. The conference organizers have made sure to provide travel pointers to "clean hotels" that are free of pay-for-play porn on the TVs. |
I wonder: they'll be checking registration records to see who stayed at "dirty" hotels? It wouldn't surprise me.
In another thread, I wrote something to the effect that people overly concerned with someone else's consensual sex life are the real faggots. Well, here they are, some of the faggots that would tell you when, where and how to get your cinders shuffled, and with whom to shuffle them.

It really does seem these folks are suspiciously obsessed with homosexuality. Gay bashing has become more important to them than the abortion issue these days. It seems their own "gay agenda" is fully filled out with several daily seminars.
I suppose they are going to have educational demonstrations by some of the "ex-gays" in attendance, so the more innocent attendees will know just what is involved, mechanically speaking, in homosexual acts. "Know your enemy" is vital, after all -- maybe even in the Biblical sense. I might pay a few bucks to see the Lesbian demo, myself. I'm not too old to learn a few tricks.

Something similar happens in Argentina´s "macho" population. They assert their masculinity and superiority over their "enemies" by alluding to a homosexual act: to introduce their peni in their enemies anus.
It seems most homophobics are just really people very confused about their sexuality and their way of dealing with it (rather than accepting one´s own sexuality) its to bash other people for accepting theirs.
