A couple days ago, while aimlessly meandering around cyberspace, I found this comic. I've also always wanted to put hidden messages in my posts It has a game called "Dungeons & Discourse" which is sorof like Dungeons & Dragons, but with more...um...philosophy and less..um...violence. Kindof like this .... They now have a forum where they are developing and testing a system of rules for it! Seriously though, I wish I had the time to play with this game: it looks awesome! Sadly, I have already wasted far too much time on this, but it looks really cool (in one of those "I'm a huge dork" kind of ways); and if anybody does give it a try, let me know how it went, eh?

What a man believes upon grossly insufficient evidence is an index into his desires -- desires of which he himself is often unconscious. If a man is offered a fact which goes against his instincts, he will scrutinize it closely, and unless the evidence is overwhelming, he will refuse to believe it. If, on the other hand, he is offered something which affords a reason for acting in accordance to his instincts, he will accept it even on the slightest evidence. The origin of myths is explained in this way. - Bertrand Russell |

Wow! I've stumbled upon that cartoon and had a laugh myself the other evening. Wonderful to see someone is developing a rules system.
But it's probably going to be much worse than merely violent: "From the coffee house ruins emerge a horde of dire Postmodernists. 'Those things are immune to causality!'" (Shudder!}
