This is hilarious! I gotta do one of them good hoaxes, someday. (Parodies technically don't qualify.)
I won't bet against you, Fil. When you got no evidence, even the worst evidence seems like a miracle. We may even see this rewritten as evidence against evolution. What goes around, goes around, and around.

It reminds me of this little gem, that had the rocket scientists of creation in a tizzy and gave the rest of us a good laugh at their expense. Hello. My name is Stefan. My last name is not important, but my story it is. I have a incredible story to tell, which is being hushed up by scientists and goverments all over the world.
Darwin's theory of the evolution of species has been disproved. But everyone is covering it up. I kept some photographs of this event, and now I am telling the world. An American friend is helping me post this story to the internet. It is the only way I could think of to get these amazing facts out before it is too late. I don't know how long I can keep this web cite up. I use my own words so it is my story. Sorry about not perfect english.

Filthy, I wouldn't touch that bet with a ten foot long honeybucket scrubrush! However I'll tack on 20 Liberty Dollars against a Somaliland Shilling that whoever next jumps in with a MMGW rant is a brand new member on their first post! Wanna take me up on that? |

Too bad Jerome was banned a second time - we could count him to post this one here, even after it was exposed. I don't think Bill Scott is anywhere near dumb enough to post this one. It is unfortunate that the hoaxers tipped their hand too soon.
Orac at Respectful Insolence pointed out some of the obvious tipoffs that this was a hoax and a couple of posters pointed some of the more hilarious math errors as well as a second hook (the benthic bacteria also caused CFC emissions).
Too bad they weren't able to do a Sokal and get it published in a real journal or get some funding from Exxon Mobil. |
