From ABC News:
At Speicher base in Iraq, U.S. Army Spec. Jeremy Hall got permission from a chaplain in August to post fliers announcing a meeting for atheists and other nonbelievers. When the group gathered, Hall alleges, his Army major supervisor disrupted the meeting and threatened to retaliate against him, including blocking his reenlistment in the Army.

Months earlier, Hall charges, he had been publicly berated by a staff sergeant for not agreeing to join in a Thanksgiving Day prayer.

Makes sense. You can't have a decent Crusade unless all your troops are doing God's Will. You think the terrorists allow atheists in their armies?!

Careful Spec. Hall, they killed Pat Tillman for that.

Notice that this is not the official policy of the US military, so your comment is ridiculous.

Here ya go. It remains open to question whether he was fragged or not, but a 3 shot M-16 burst in the forehead from 10 yards (medical examiner's report) says quite a bit.

Me,I dunno.

Okay, so it isn't "official". Racism isn't an "official" part of a lot of government policy, but that doesn't mean it isn't there.

Besides, my comment was ridiculous because it was being sarcastic.

Of course you can have a decent Crusade even if some of the troops aren't doing God's will. Seeing as they have to follow orders, only the leaders need to be toeing the line.
