The gambling's basically a joke, though there is a photo of Kil at the slots. The hootchies are a damned lie I made up earlier in Moonscape.
Hey, JREF has a link to a video in which Geller, Angel, and Callahan give their takes on Angels' ambush. Geller is typically sleazy and greasy, trying to look like an open-minded good guy, while condemning Angel. Angel says it like it is, and even saying he'll now have to take on Geller. Callahan is just really nasty, practically frothing with hate at Angel, while not saying a word about why he didn't guess what was in the friggin' envelope. He did, however, appeal to "Christians" to condemn Chriss Angel, and said, “I will definitely do everything I can to ruin him.”

Uri is a friggin joke (but what's new) I'm disappointed that he is even back on TV in any form. On the other hand I'm really starting to like this Angel character. |
I would rather face a cold reality than delude myself with comforting fantasies.

| I was really irritated seeing the video of Criss Angel doing his walking-on-water routine in a pool full of shills, but I can get over that. I sure like his attitude now!

Yeah, Angel can do a hell of a lot better than that swimming pool bit.Talk about magic for children! He really is a pretty good illusionist, but that comes with money. Give me a few million and challenge me to become an illusionist for a great deal more money, and it would take only a few months! Same with anybody that has half a brain in their noggin! Money really can buy magic!! |

| That's up to the person. I don't have a moral judgment about gambling. On the other hand I do want to make it clear that I've got no special revelations on the subject of Kil's decadent gambling habit.

| I'm afraid that the Vegas casinos would soon shut down if everyone there made quarter bets with a twenty dollar spending limit. On the other hand, I did spread that twenty around to several casinos and made it last from around nine o'clock in the evening until two the next morning. And for their gain, they kept giving me free Tequila!
I think they probably consider people like me as a loss leader. It just looks better to have most of the seats at the slots filled...
I had fun.

Depends on your definition of "gambling". I'll play poker (Texas Hold'em) in a casino and do so from time to time. I don't really consider poker gambling since it is not just luck (same goes for blackjack.....but I'm WAY better at poker ). To date I've never lost money playing poker in a casino. |

Yep. Sure looks like it, according to Denialism blog!
I remember when some of the RR people were concerned that Angel was actually using evil magic or something on his show. Turns out he's actually on our side. (though with them, skepticism and atheism are also evil...)
He's asking for actual proof of psychic abilities from Geller on that show, and Geller's getting cheesed off.

When I have trouble in my spirit when watching this guy it's because the gift of discernment is running in overdrive!
Your remark reminds me of things my parents used to say when I was a child and frightened. They were not comforting in the slightest. "Oh there's nothing to fear but fear itself." "Oh that's just trick photography." "You are imagining things." "You're just letting your imagination run wild." "Demons aren't real." Those phrases belittle people.
I have recently considered posting about Criss Angel because I've seen the commercials for Phenomenon and my discernment kicks into overdrive. I agree with Angyl. There might be a way to explain his tricks and illusions, but how can it be proven that every trick Criss does is human illusion and trickery? He could use human illusion to win people over to the darker side of magic and sorcery?
I think that even though he might have some of his illusions based in this realm, I'm willing to bet that he has help from a more sinister realm. And I'm willing to bet that those in his inner circle have probably seen him do things that would curl our hair. |

Pretty sad mental state of affairs, with Rebecki. Thinking Criss Angel is a witch, and "God said it, I believe it, That settles it!" strains my Poemeter.

On denialism blog there's an entry about another of Criss Angel's takedown of fake psychics. |
