Walmart's talking Jesus Action Figure, complete with worship instructions, and Sanctimonious Preachy Voice has raised hackles amongst Christians who are appalled by the crassness of the toy. Some atheists and agnostics, however, are concerned that the toys may have a powerful theistic effect upon young minds.

Oh. Jesus. Christ.

So, in addition to being the largest market segment for the Jesus action Figure (for their ironic value, they say), secularists have decided to rush a whole series of opposing action figures into production in the same Chinese sweatshops used by Walmart, even using the same leaded paints. They hope to have the dolls, dubbed "The Secular Salvation Team," under Winter Solstice Trees before December 25th or so.

The Secular Salvation Team.

I'm just enjoying how much the Jesus action figure resembles the Buddy Christ action figure parody from Dogma, which were actually produced and sold:

I'm sure kids are going to immediately have these things doing unspeakable acts to their other dolls.

Yeah, the Muslims were really on to something with the no making images of Mohammed rule.

Shoot. My Jesus action figure just stands there and does nothing. I must get me one of these.

Also, thanks for remembering to put the bag over my head, Mooner...

Uncertainty may make you uncomfortable. Certainty makes you ridiculous.

Why not question something for a change?

That's the smartest thing in their religion. They saw action figures coming.

I just noticed the caution label: "WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD." Great. Preaching and choking. Just what you'd expect from the Passive-Aggressive Godhead.
