If one assumes (without evidence) that Limbaugh's MMGW-denial "expert," Roy W. Spencer, actually saw the hoax as such and told Limbaugh, then one has to wonder how much Oxycotin Limbaugh is presently taking. Just how stupid must Limbaugh himself be to accept a report with the term, "Plasticine Age" in it? Not stupid enough to be taken off the air by his broadcasters, obviously.
Personally, I suspect both Spencer and Limbaugh were either taken in by the hoax, or more likely still, simply went along with without a care in the world as to its accuracy, since on its face it supported them. Both these guys make a profession of collecting, refining, and re-transmitting profit-motivated lies, after all.
BTW, Spencer is also (surprise, surprise!) an evolution denier, an ID Creationist, as shown here, here, and here.
Spencer is a member of the conservative Heartland Institute, which is funded in part by Exxon. It seems old Roy's real expertise is lying for profits and prophets. Heartland also shills for, and gets money from, the Tobacco Industry. Looks like Heartland basically works for anyone with the money to rent their services.

Rush has virtually a captive audience of the brain-damaged, and his left-wing deriders. Both, in their own way, contribute to him. Thus, he can say anything he pleases with impunity, the one applauding and the other castigating him, to the amusment of all. And further thus, everything he says is meaningless. And he doesn't care, as long as his speach is not actionable enough to get him into court.
The guy is a professional buffoon and does very well at it.
