Just a reminder of what Thanksgiving is all about.

And a video:

Gorgo.....

Thanks so much for posting The Arlo Guthrie Classic! I was 39 when it first came out in 1967 - the year of 500,000 people marching for peace in NYC, the Summer of Love in San Francisco, Flower Power, 500,000 US troops in Vietnam, 15,000 US troops dead in Viet Nam; a time in history eerily similar to today! An extremely unpopular war, an even more unpopular President (LBJ), a volatile world situation (godless, communist Russia threatening Christian, capitalistic USA)! And on, and on.

Should we be thankful that history repeats itself?

I'm thankful for Arlo Guthrie, who coined the unforgettable term "grandfather raper"

I was just out of the Navy in 1967, the Vietnam War having turned me to an anti-war activist while still on duty. I loved Arlo Guthrie then, and it's wonderful to see and hear him again after all these years. He still seems to connect with young people.
