Saw this on CountDown with Kieth Oberman tonight and decided to google Rove on Charlie Rose and found this summary of another lie. Same video included in the link if you can stand it. If you really have a cast iron stomach see the entire 51 minutes here. Charlie is clearly too soft on his guest.

YO: Moakley says above that Charlie Rose was too easy on Karl Rove in the PBS interview.
Yes, although I don't have a cast iron stomach, I did watch some of it, and agree Rose could've gotten more hardnosed with the interview.
Public Broadcasters have to be more cautious than the commercial broadcast and cable media. Not just for political reasons but because public stations(FM and TV)are still bound by elements of the Fairness Doctrine. Charlie's show runs on broadcast TV and Cable, depending on the market. Many smaller markets don't air the program at all.
We're lucky, finally. Now there's at least one cable TV pundit who has at least two testicles in regard to delivering commentary that doesn't seem as if it's out of the Klan's main tent.
I got a good chuckle when I heard Rove say, in reponse to the war vote in Congress ahead of the 2002 mid term elections, "Oh, we didn't want it to come to a vote. We thought it made it too political."
Everyone in the Bush Administration, without doubt, has brown eyes. And that includes our blonde-haired Mr. Rove.

The criticism that Charlie Rose lobs softball questions at his guests is not new, nor apparently anything to do with the Fairness Doctrine. |
