Anyone here at sf a fan of Mr Pratchett, Author of the Discworld series, Truckers, and other various books. Personally one of my favorites has to be Small Gods which is a brilliant critique in belief and the structure of religion. He also got together with popular science writers Ian Stewart and Jack Cohen to write the science of discworld series, which I recommend to anyone wholeheartedlyRead it and enjoyHe is also one of the worlds celebrity athiests Well if there are any fans here he has been recently diagnosed with alzheimerswhich he is describing as an embuggerance scroll down a little to read his post.

Yeah, that's just plain horrible. We really need some more advanced headology.

Things like that scare me far more than the somewhat more popular/likely heart attacks and such.

I'm currently reading Thud, and strongly second Archereon's endorsement of the "Science of..." series.

John's just this guy, you know.
