Always loved that show.
You might have had the grace to mention Mr. Laurie's colleague and friend, Stephen Fry. Who is every bit as brilliant as he is. (And Britain's national teddy-bear.)
Here's my all time favourite sketch from A Bit. http://www.flixya.com/video/103203/A_Bit_of_Fry_and_Laurie_ |

Halcyon.....
Sorry 'bout that! Here's a bit of contrition. Won't 'appen again, old top! Carry on.
Presenting Stephen Fry!
Stephen Fry (b. 1957) is an English comic actor and author. He is well-known for his roles in the British comedy series A Bit of Fry and Laurie, Jeeves and Wooster and several of the Blackadder series. His novels include The Liar and The Hippopotamus.
In 2005, Fry appeared in two films with Creature Shop connections. He played the Librarian in MirrorMask, and performed the voice of the Guide in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Fry also appeared as the blithely ignorant Inspector Thompson in Gosford Park, a 2001 film that included digital effects by the Creature Shop.
Also here is another neat example of Laurie's surprising musical talent! The man is a marvelous entertainer, musician, comedian and actor. I love House but wish we had more of his and Stephen Fry's talents on American TV! (Edited to put an 'r' in surprising.)

Stephen Fry also appeared in "V for Vendetta". |

I can't think of one with out the other. They are not just partners in crime, but good friends as well. Fry is godfather to all three of Laurie's children.
There is an other connection as well. As a student Laurie had a liaison with Emma Thompson (who can also be hillariously funny), who later was married to Kenneth Brannagh. Fry has been involved in several of Brannagh's projects, as actor and as a writer. |
