Furthermore, if God has no claim on us, then we are free — free to be animals like our evolutionary ancestors — free to be as low-down as snakes, free to be cannibalistic and eat our own children like alligators, free to kill like lions, free to rape, free to have thousends of wives, free to commit orgies, free to sleep with a two year or your own mother, free to steal, and to make pigs of ourselves, and to act like donkeys, why do we have laws if we are not so different then animals, why don't we just go and commit zoophilia and necrophilia

Again, a cut-paste job with no attribution or link.

Obviously one need not invoke their imaginary deity to recognize the value of laws and civilization. The imbecilic little rant you have pasted onto us does nothing but demonstrate the stupidity of the author.

If you, or anyone, could make an actual case explaining why some deity is required for morals and ethical behavior to exist, you'd get everyone's attention. Pathetically, all you have is nonsense spewn forth by some retard who is doing nothing more than regurgitating ancient AiG/Southern Baptist articles.

Dare I hazard a guess that this too, can be found at CMI?

Well, I'd guess correctly, were I to hazard one.

hoviariel, I must inform that CMI has no scientific credibility whatsoever. Indeed, you have to make a statement of faith before you could work or even publish there.
A) PRIORITIES

The scientific aspects of creation are important, but are secondary in importance to the proclamation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as Sovereign, Creator, Redeemer and Judge.

The doctrines of Creator and Creation cannot ultimately be divorced from the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

(B) BASICS

The 66 books of the Bible are the written Word of God. The Bible is divinely inspired and inerrant throughout. Its assertions are factually true in all the original autographs. It is the supreme authority, not only in all matters of faith and conduct, but in everything it teaches. Its authority is not limited to spiritual, religious or redemptive themes but includes its assertions in such fields as history and science.

The final guide to the interpretation of Scripture is Scripture itself.

The account of origins presented in Genesis is a simple but factual presentation of actual events and therefore provides a reliable framework for scientific research into the question of the origin and history of life, mankind, the Earth and the universe.
The various original life forms (kinds), including mankind, were made by direct creative acts of God. The living descendants of any of the original kinds (apart from man) may represent more than one species today, reflecting the genetic potential within the original kind. Only limited biological changes (including mutational deterioration) have occurred naturally within each kind since Creation.

The great Flood of Genesis was an actual historic event, worldwide (global) in its extent and effect.

The special creation of Adam (the first man) and Eve (the first woman), and their subsequent fall into sin, is the basis for the necessity of salvation for mankind.

Death (both physical and spiritual) and bloodshed entered into this world subsequent to, and as a direct consequence of, man's sin.
And so forth; it gibbers on for quite a way.

It is not possible to do science under such restrictions.

Unfortunately, I see that hoviariel has made some small editorial changes to the articles he largely cut-and-pasted. Dude preserved the, er, original quote to the last part of hoviariel's article:
Furthermore, if God has no claim on us, then we are free — free to be animals like our evolutionary ancestors — free to be as low-down as snakes, free to be cannibalistic and eat our own children like alligators, free to kill like lions, free to rape, free to have thousends of wives, free to commit orgies, free to sleep with a two year or your own mother, free to steal, and to make pigs of ourselves, and to act like donkeys, why do we have laws if we are not so different then animals, why don't we just go and commit zoophilia and necrophilia
I admit that when I read this, it seems odd because of a) the misspelling ("thousends" and not "thousands") but also because most of the "free to" attributions have nothing to do with the animal world (which is the thrust of the article). And indeed, in the original, I see that the author just wrote:
Furthermore, if God has no claim on us, then we are free — free to be animals like our evolutionary ancestors — free to be as low-down as snakes, and to make pigs of ourselves, and to act like donkeys.
Thus, hoviariel added "free to be cannibalistic and eat our own children like alligators, free to kill like lions, free to rape, free to have thousends of wives, free to commit orgies, free to sleep with a two year or your own mother, free to steal," and then added "why do we have laws if we are not so different then animals, why don't we just go and commit zoophilia and necrophilia" after the final two animal comments.

Also odd, the original author concluded his article with animal sounds the coincide with the final animal references snake, pig, donkey: "Hiss! Oink! Hee-haw!" but hovariel added a "crunch" in there, too, obviously missing the author's attempt to be artistic.

Aside from the deliberate dishonesty that hovariel is displaying (which assumes that people here are either too stupid or too lazy to use Google), let's fix his edited quote:
...if God tells us that simply by accepting Jesus Christ as our Saviour, we are assured a place at His side, then we are free — free to be animals like our evolutionary ancestors — free to be as low-down as snakes, free to be cannibalistic and eat our own children like alligators, free to kill like lions, free to rape, free to have thousends of wives, free to commit orgies, free to sleep with a two year or your own mother, free to steal, and to make pigs of ourselves, and to act like donkeys, why do we have laws if we are not so different then animals, why don't we just go and commit zoophilia and necrophilia
The Evangelical is the one who is free to act as heinously as he wishes. The rest of us understand that life of Earth would be pretty miserable if everyone did as they please with no fear of the consequences.
