The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) is set to start operating at full power this spring. I just read a good article in Scientific American on the LHC. I saw that the article was on line. The physicists are not sure what all they will see but the assure us that it will change particle physics as we know it.
This will essentially tell us if the Standard Model is on the right track or not. We should see the elusive Higgs particle, maybe what makes up dark matter, and who knows what else.
