Nice proletarian tribute, Mooner! That poster has to go back to the '40's, "Rosie the Riveter" times. I was in my early teens, and worried as hell that I was going to get drafted! (I got drafted later, for the Korean war - an earlier US exercise in intervention diplomacy!) I did learn that there were three ways to do anything; right, wrong, and the Army!

Thanks for the history, Bill. I was born just weeks before the Japanese surrendered, so had no worries about being drafted for that one, or the next.

Yup, Abbie Smith. The day after my OP, she came out with a post proposing something similar to my "Science Students Culture War Co-ordinating Committee," though not an organization.

A mere coincidence? You bet. She's been knocking down Creationists for a long time.
