At least that's his "PREDICTION (HOPE DESIRE)." Heins has been given a dune buggy frame, and plans to install something on it which will - he intends - make the Ansari 100 MPG X-Prize "MOOT."

If he plans to put his contrapment into a vehicle, then there will be an excellent opportunity to actually measure the "unity" in a practical application.
The Ansari X-prize is a competition as good as any to prove your design.
Proof-of-concept is an important part if you want to file a perpetuum mobile patent.
I wish he succeeds (but I'm not holding my breath).

Dr. Mabuse.....

I have completely lost the use of my radioactive foot, but I come hobbling around in a lead boot to congratulate you on the creation of a marvelous new word.

I fully understand that your native language is Svenska, or more likely Standard Swedish, a tongue that does not exist in my mouth. And your command of written English is remarkable for one who is writing in a second language. Would that I could produce written française as well as you effortlessly roll off the subtleties of the American lexicon.

All of that said and meant, you inadvertantly produced a neologism in your last post that is a beaut! CONTRAPMENT! You probably meant to say contraption, but no matter, I love contrapment so much that I am going to blatantly steal it from you and use it indiscriminately! It will have many uses, few of which are related!

Please don't misunderstand, Mabuse I am not making fun of your English, it is far better than some I have muddled through in these forums! But contrapment being somewhere in the middle of contraption, conflation, entrapment, contra....(prefix), etc. offers wordplay potential par excellance Thank you!

I liked "contrapment," myself. In Heins' case, that seems to describe the contraption that he's got himself so tangled up in.

Thank you.

I guess that was a case of (freudian?) slip.
I have said it before, and may be repeated: I strive for excellence, and any polite comment that may improve my skill is welcome. Even non-polite ones too, but I prefer the former.

Again, thank you.
