What is reality? Reality is what we percieve together or what we in commonality and unity exist in and can reason in under certain known fixed laws (fixed according to our understanding of present laws amongst each other). Even if this reality is a false reality to us such as a "matrix", the term reality in definition can be logically defined as stated above, or at least to speak of the term "reality" in relativistic terms which is all we can do at the moment for an empirical hypothesis of reality has not been reached. As a matter of fact, an empirical hypothesis for any of the above said has not been reached so is it "truth" to say that all is uncertain? In this regard, discussing anything is futile unless you can buy the fact that uncertainties lead to certainty which is certain, which perhaps you may be a chaos theory advocate which again, one cannot be certain of. So in conclusion, "I think" according to "human reasoning" that "truth" must be evaluated under "relative" standards and/or under "belief" standards. So if the physical standard meets a metaphysical claim which claims to be the ultimate truth, then one should be compelled to pay attention and reason accordingly with all the tools available at ones cognitive disposal to deduce whether such claims have legitimate validity by our collective reasoning. This collective reasoning in turn embodies our knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. And no, I am not a Muslim. I apologize for not reading all the posts in this topic. I will catch up soon. Call me on what I've missed. |
