Oh boy. I'll say this for him: he actually allows dissenting comments (so far) on it. Even more humorous, when he tries to lip back to those negative comments, he makes himself look even more like an idiot.
I'm off to tell PZ Myers...

I is amazing how apologists can say things like Mr. comfort said: "If you believe evolution is a reality, then the onus is on you to prove it. You have the burden of proof." Evolution cannot be proven in the sense that I can prove a theorem in geometry; mountains and mountains of evidence have been collected to support the theory of evolutiom. The creationists have collected . . . how much evidence to support their myth theory? I find it interesting that no homo sapien bones have been found that are as old as the oldest humanoid bones discovered so far. Evolution theory is a work in progress, unlike creation beliefs.
As far as Mr. Comfort is concerned, I need proof that life was created by some bodiless, shapeless pure energy entity.
Oops, sorry, it's in the Bible; so it must be true. |
I have a habit of posting without reading all previous comments, if I am repeating someone, well, excuse me, please.

Whoops. Turns out PZ Myers already knows about Comfort's blog. |

Way of the "master" caught in a lie.
Tony finds relief in the fact that other Nobels go out for silly things too. Actually, he goes on to build a case that the whole Nobel ceremony has withered into a shebang of silly, and this to him perfectly discredits Al Gore's ideas in the process. For example, the Nobel of medicine, was awarded to a pair of researchers investigating the side effects of sword-swallowing and the literature prize was awarded to a linguist on her research on the word #8220;the#8221;. Now if anyone at WotM had paid more attention, they would have noticed, that among these prizes, we find that the peace prize actually went to the Air Force Wright Laboratory in Dayton, Ohio, for suggesting the research and development of a #8220;gay bomb#8221;. What? No Gore?
Of course no Gore, because I'm going through a list of the Ig Nobels. Tony just somehow #8220;forgot#8221; to mention this? This strikes us as an attempt to poke at the scientific community, trying to somehow signal to the listeners that #8220;Gosh, those scientists are a kooky bunch#8221;. |
Or at least not intelligent enough to tell the Nobel prizes from the Ig nobel prizes. (I take personal exception to that)
Ray's bait and switch tactic example. |

| I have never met anyone who thinks this.
Human nature tends to think that way -- that death is something that happens to other people. But every single day 150,000 people die, and no doubt each of them that are now in eternity, thought just like you -- that death "will never happen to me."
| Ray is a tool.
We only get one chance in this thing we call "life." Don't blow it for eternity. Obey the gospel today. Then read your Bible daily and obey what you read, God will never let you down.
| And don't think about what you read. Just believe.

Whoops. I should have said that the "Death Beth" thing he's got going is an example of Pascal's Wager more than bait and switch. Mind you, it doesn't look like a religious set up, so "bait and switch" still applies. |

From his blog:
It's amazing how gravity was able to evolve, all by itself. |
Did I miss the science class where we learned about the evolution of gravity?? Does gravity have DNA now? Oh boy, I'm way out of the loop, apparently!

| Yeah, wtf? It's like in his addle creationist brain, "evolve" just means "come into existence without god's help."
