Garfield minus Garfield

I'm still trying to make up my mind.

What brought that on? this. Original posting here.

Another example of this guy's lunacy here.

Both.

I found this one pretty entertaining:

It's funny 'cause it's true.

I haven't laughed that hard at Garfield comics since I was a kid. I think they are improved.

They say: "Who would have guessed that when you remove Garfield from the Garfield comic strips, the result is an even better comic about schizophrenia, bipolor* disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life?"

Well, not to me. Its actually pointless and unfunny.

Reminds me of what the British composer Robert Simpson said many years ago. (Paraphrased)
If you have one leg, you might be able to invent some unusual dances, but you'll also have to also admit; its better dancing with two legs.

(*They misspelled "bipolar" too.)

Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

To me, this is a brilliant idea! I've actually fallen out of my chair, laughing. Your mileage may vary.

I found it to be a creative and rather comical idea, for about all of 5 minutes.

Why continue? Because we must. Because we have the call. Because it is nobler to fight for rationality without winning than to give up in the face of continued defeats. Because whatever true progress humanity makes is through the rationality of the occasional individual and because any one individual we may win for the cause may do more for humanity than a hundred thousand who hug their superstitions to their breast.
- Isaac Asimov
