I went to read the original - I'm not certain but is Chick implying that illegal tattooed Mexican sanitation engineers are El Diablo?
One flaw in the original - the main character was bitten to be infected by "sin", but no one else is. Ah well, the irrationality of the delusional... |

Chick's racial bigotry shines its light-canceling beam almost every time he pens a cartoon. But since it's usually somewhat masked by his homophobia, paranoid hatred of Catholicism (he thinks Jesuits are out to assassinate him, so has his wife answer the door for his own safety), and fear of Freemasonry, etc., his racism is perhaps not the first thing one notices about him.
But that panel filled with "stinking" non-whites is as bad as any Nazi propaganda. He should be publicly condemned for that alone. Churches, missionaries, and individuals which distribute his tracts should be held responsible for their extremist racist (and homophobic, etc.) contents.
Considering that Chick Publications prints far more than any other organization in history, all this slimy bigotry must have a huge impact on readers. The world will be incrementally a better place once old Jack Chick kicks the bucket.
