Confronted by Stahl with the fact some prominent people, including the nation's vice president, are not convinced that global warming is man-made, Gore responds: "You're talking about Dick Cheney. I think that those people are in such a tiny, tiny minority now with their point of view, they're almost like the ones who still believe that the moon landing was staged in a movie lot in Arizona and those who believe the world is flat,” says Gore. "That demeans them a little bit, but it's not that far off," he tells Stahl. | What?! Is he saying that the moon landing wasn't filmed in Arizona? Where was it filmed, then -- certainly not the moon! Do you any idea how far away that thing is?! Not even my Shovelhead Harley could make that trip without refueling, and guess what, people: no gas stations!
But no matter, the moon landing conspiracy hoo-hah no longer has relevance except to those who live in an intellectual crack pipe; it's a rise in the earth's mean temperature exacerbated by our collective exhaust that matters today. Idiots such as the swine Cheney, who won't accept the science until it can be shown that remedial efforts won't slow the flow of corporate cash nor inconvenience anyone important, that are the real hazard. They'd destroy us all for a dollar.

The moon's not far away at all; not more than a hundred miles up at most. Where do you think Jack went on his beanstalk?
Also: You shouldn't think of climate warming in such negative terms. This is really all about ending this blasted Ice Age the Earth's been stuck in for the last few million years or so. Roll with it man, the light at the end of the tunnel is golden and warm. |

Naturally Al made his comment from the comfort of his private jet while burning the wicks for his globe trotting antics. I am sure, however, that he will brush off his critics by cutting a check to his own company for more "carbon credits". After all when he says "people" are stuck in their old habits he is talking about "other" people. When I see the privet jet and mansion go up for sale, or better yet, put out of commission for the massive CO2 producers that they are, then I might start to think that Al really believes his own prophesy... Look at me, I have completely refit my house with the new CFL's and sold my SUV! And I don't even buy into this whole doomsday prophesy. What has Al done, besides cut in line at the Old Country Buffet when they brought out fresh BBQ ribs? |

Yes Bill, we all know the fact that Al Gore rides planes nullifies all valid scientific data. What do you think we are? Darwinists?!?! |

C'mon Bill, ad hom is for children, idiots, and maybe just for fun now & then. Attack the science that Gore represents instead. I mean, do you really believe that the world is flat (Pssst, I agree on the moon-landing folderol but don't tell anybody, ok)?

The piece was not on any of the valid scientific data but was rather on how Al is going to pi$$ away $300 million to ask everyone else to do that which he has/will not. |

This straw "critique" - follows a simplistic formula:
Al Gore has more money than Bill scott, therefore Global Warming is wrong. |
Diversity, independence, innovation and imagination are progressive concepts ultimately alien to the conservative mind.

and maybe just for fun now & then. |
But Al makes himself such an easy target. His mansion, his private jet travels, his VIP status at In-and-Out Burger, all while he preaches personal sacrifice to the faithful and the deniers.
Attack the science that Gore represents instead. |
Why? It will be brushed aside under the new coined "one size fits all" banner of climate "change."

1. Your assuming Al Gore has more money then Bill $cott.
2. You have completely misunderstood the formula which is that Al's message might be taken a little more serious by the faithful and the skeptics alike if he actually practiced what he preached, even if just a little bit.
Swaggart lost his credibility when he preached repentance but then was busted in a prostitution ring.
George H.W. Bush lost his credibility when told us to read his lips on the no new taxes thing.
William J. Clinton lost his credibility when shook his fingers at us and said that he never had contact with that woman, Ms. Lewenski.
Do you really think Al can preach personal sacrifice blah, blah, blah and CO2 output blah, blah, blah to the faithful and then turn around and jump on his private jet to fly to his 10,000sq/ft mansion, that he lives at 2 weeks out of the year yet keeps climate controlled, without losing credibility with the faithful, let alone the skeptics? Not to even mention his aggressive behavior at the Golden Corral Saturday night buffet. |

Your simply a living legend. It's that simple.

It appears to make you feel good about yourself so I am glad to have helped, since you obviously have unresolved issues going on outside of this forum.
but I have never said you are wrong (and yes, you are wrong) because you are retarded. |

Sure, Dave. Swagart never used "church" funds for his party, so, therefore, no hyprocrisy. |
