"THE SOLAR SYSTEM -The planet Earth was destroyed today in a gigantic fiery cataclysm, wiping out all known life, including some 4 billion human beings. Officials are calling it the worst planetary disaster on record...."

For more on this important development, see http://www.zealot.com/humor/archives/earth.php3

Thanks for the link. I'll have you know I was up until 0400! Next time include a warning - "Warning! Link has funny stuff and is pretty interesting! Go to bed and re-boot in the morning! Thank you"

That was very funny. Although I am forced to say that the joke is not very compatible with the bible's idea of God as I know it, but I do know religious people who think of God that way.

Anyhow, I'm sure you all could care less about what I think, so just know that I am only posting a reply to this topic as an experiment to see what might be wrong with my computer.

Are we talking about the same God that killed everyone on Earth except for Noah and his family? The same God that destroy Sodom? If so, I think that this God is quite in character.

I'm sorry, I was referring to the giant floating man in space that seems to be somewhat limited to a corporeal form, can be chased by police, and can possibly attempt suicide. (That was the humorous part, along with the spoofing of generic newspaper articles.) The wiping out of 3 billion people on the other hand is not something that I can say the bible's God would or wouldn't do. That's all I have to say though. Overanalyzing jokes takes the fun out of them.

I know that my observation wasn't the brightest, that is why I explained the true purpose of my reply post.
