That show that's airing with Ted Danson (I think). They are now trying to tie it to real life through...James van Pragh (did I spell that right?). It's a movie for TV. I suppose that's not so bad in light of that horrid Contact: Talking with the Dead show. Did a thing on the Blakely murder. No answers of course, even slicker than Edwards' show. You see nothing of the misses since it's obviously heavily edited. Of course, he brings the 'virgin Mary' in as part of the reading. Gack!

I managed to miss this one. Guess I had something better to do that night. If I remember correctly, it involved conducting holy services at the Rimrock Tavern. Anyway, there were a couple of reviews of the program over on the JREF board. From what I've read, it was pretty much what we'd expect. Vague generalities, hot-ish readings, since these were all semi-celebs. Nothing that couldn't be discovered with a 'google' search. Naturally, the true believers have fallen for it, hook line and sinker. Lisa

That's what I hate most about society: that there are so many things that are not true but everyone believes it(probably 'cause [1]their stupid enough to believe in it; or [2] their to lazy to go and research more about the topic). Argh!! When will people get a brain?!?!

It is far easier to just go with the flow and that's what most people do, however high their IQ might be. We are a social animal, most of us, anyway, and we often instinctivly assume that the majority knows best.
This is a pile of crap, of course. Does the lead lemming show much wisdom as he leads the unthinking majority off a cliff and into the sea (the truth of that one is that Disney set the whole thing up for his shoot. He wanted to show the legend in his movie. For the most part, lemmings are smart enough not to migrate off cilffs, but it makes a great example, does it not)?
The same holds firm with our societies and organizations. Anyone that does not 'go with the flow', right or wrong, may well find himself a pariah. I think John Walker Linde is a prime example of this. He's been pariahed out in a couple of societies, rightly or wrongly so.

Both Ted Danson and James Van Praagh were on Larry King last night. I couldn't stand to even watch one minute of it, but I'm sure Larry was his usual psychic ass kissing self.
