That's because I had a mishap when trying to simplify the avatar back end set up. They should work again if ypou reselect your avatar. Basically, all the avatar links changed. Before, in the avatar admin section, you had to enter an entire URL for an avatar. Now you can just enter an avatar name. Unfortunately, it has messed up things for people that had already selected and avatar.
