The great man has once again had another fantastic "hit".
Last Friday, i had 20mins to waste and (for a laugh) decided to tap in 'Uri' in the browser search engine.
You would not believe the results!!!
Did you know, the great Uri struck gold in the Aussie olympics.
You may remember that during the opening ceremony the torch carrying the eternal flame got stuck approx halfway up it's final ascent toward the stadiums olympic flame. All exciting stuff I thought at the time, even more so now that human error has intervened.
Oh my, will the torch reach the top and light the stadium flame. I couldn't take any more. After the 90sec wait (thankfully) the torch continued it's predetermined path, lit the Olympic flame and saved the 2000 Olympics.
THAT'S WHAT I THOUGHT OCCURED!!
What I didn't know, was that, prior to the games commencing, the world famous psychic spoon bender had used his amazing powers to stall the torch!!!!!!!!!
It would be easy for all you nasty sceptics to jump on this one and cry 'liar, liar'. (you unbelievers you...).
You see, Uri (The Powerful One)neglected to tell A SINGLE SOUL about his intentions, not his partner, closest confidente, press agent or any member of the public prior to the event.
Now, Now, I know what you're thinking, give the guy a break and let him give us his reasoning behind this.
You see "HE WANTED TO PROVE TO HIMSELF THAT HIS POWERS WERE STILL IN TIP TOP CONDITION" Therefore, why bother to explain to us mere mortals that he intended to do this amazing feat.
Uri, I have a question for you........ WHY DID YOU TELL US AFTER THE EVENT, IF YOUR PRIVATE EXPERIMENT WORKED, WHY BOTHER PUBLISHING THE CONCLUSION? I PUT IT TO YOU THAT YOU ARE A BOUNDER, CAD AND A CHARLATAN SIR. THIS RANKS WITH THE "SEARCHING FOR OIL" CLAIM THAT COST THE SPONSORING COMPANY MILLIONS, YIELDED NOTHING AND YET YOU STILL DESCRIBE THIS AS A SUCCESS, WHY?
Incidentally, the only prediction that I have ever come across from him (prediction, meaning prior to the event)was that the football (soccer) team he is involved with were to win 2-0.......... they lost
2-1. Nice one Uri, your a star!
PS i predict that Uri Geller will never get a prediction correct, Mmmmmmmmm does this mean I'm a psychic.

I believe in nothing; only my scepticism kept me from being an atheist.

He made similar claims about stopping the clockwork of Big-Ben once when it suffered a mechanical failure.

It is amazing that people will believe such idiocy.

The real topper about predictions like this is when they put the "prediction" in a sealed envelope and lock it in a safe until the "event". Afterwards the safe and envelope are opened and voila... the prediction is correct. DUH!! Its a magicians TRICK!! They do it all the time. And yet... PEOPLE STILL SWALLOW THIS CRAP WHOLE!!

We're doomed...
