How about the way the Bush administration keeps saying that the Iraqi people are free but they keep inferring that they are free to do what we say it's OK to do. I don't call that free. I call it an occupation.

As long as one desires to control another there will be government. As long as we're apt to impose our morality upon other we shall oppress and be oppressed. For the time being we shall desire freedom of love our servitude.

I'm not sure I understand this sentence. Does this go better with or without a gun to your head?

I'm betting that 'of' should be an 'and' or a 'but'. I think 'and' would be more poetic.

While Iraq has not reached the Vietnam level of clusterfuckery, and probably won't, it still is a horrible waste of life and resorces, apparently for nothing.

Saddam is gone, maybe, and that's a good thing, but, with the myriad of murderous assholes repressing others in the world, was it worth it?

I understand that Pat Robertson is in a snit because Smirk asked Charles Taylor to step down. O' course, it'll cost him some gold mine money. Perhaps that's the criteria for attacking forign dictators: What's in it for us? Current thought is that Iraq has oil to (ahem) liberate.

Whoa there, hoss! What other reason did you have in mind for our devestating Iraq?
